I've had the privilege on several occasions to speak in depth with people who are
experts in their fields. They have told me flat out that they will actually put
out most or all of the ideas that they put out in their seminars and books in many
of the articles that they write. Their strategy is to make to make it available.
The motivation level of the reader to pick up on what is actually being said and
use it can determine directly whether or not, they need to do anything further.
An article can actually help the reader get a good sense of a subject or a speaker.
It can provide emotional and mental relaxation or stimulation, and it can be read
in a relatively short amount of time compared to a book. It can come in the form
of a free daily newsletter, have or be an inspirational quote, a section of an e-book,
an audio clip and more.
A Self Improvement Article Example
Confidence
(For this example, let's say, this was from the Acme yearly coaching forum and
that this was transcribed from a live seminar... )
Confidence is the acceptance of your own self worth. If you heard enough times growing
up as a child that you were worthless (break that down, worth less) you probably
grew up with a low sense of self. (Stop right here and go buy a self help book)
If you have okay confidence and want to learn methods of making that confidence
grow and work for you, far out. First, you will need to make a decision as to a
goal that takes confidence to achieve, like weight loss.
Why do you want to lose weight? To get that man or woman to notice you?
If you do get them to notice you what will that get you? If you're like most people,
you'll probably say something like a sense of confidence. Getting noticed will not
cause the confidence, it has to come from within. You have the steps backwards.
Not to worry. We'll get it straightened out... right now. Here's a question that
I would like to submit to you-- plan on taking some time to answer this thoroughly.
- When you're confident, what are you like?
- Really notice the answer.
- What happens in your body?
- What sorts of things to tell yourself?
- Write it all down.
- Keep a journal of what you notice.
Then, the next time you're experiencing something other than that notice what
you're doing, and it just to how it is, you know you are when you're confident.
While you may oscillate in and out the feeling confident he will become more and
more apparent to overtime that in order for you to feel something other than confident.
You have to do something other than what you're doing when you are confident. Then
it becomes a choice. You may not always make the best choice, but at least now you
have one, and it comes from within. It is not in any way dependent on being noticed
by anyone.
And ironically, when hold this position and put it out of the world on a consistent
basis the likelihood of you getting noticed will go way up.
